Directory Assistance for Palm will do phone lookups, reverse phone lookups, driving directions and maps. It’s probably on everyone’s top 10 list of favorite palm applications.

Reverse Phone Directory (www.reversephonedirectory.com ) works fine on the Treo browser.

Often when other reverse lookups won’t give you useful information, Who Called Us will. They catch the unlisted sales calls and other undesirable phone numbers. From your web browser type:

Where 999-888-7777 is the phone number you are researching.

Flickr has a mobile website Mobile Flickr pretty much everything you can do at Flickr can now be done from your smart phone.  I’ve done this with my Palm, WM phone and iPhone. Any phone with a camera and email will work.

In your free Flickr account is a Flickr upload email. If you send picture email to that account it will automatically put the image and the subject and text of the email in your account pictures.

It can also automatically post this message and picture to a blog if you wish. You have two Flickr email accounts for uploading images. One will upload the image to Flickr. The second will upload the image to Flickr and post the image to your blog that you connected to your Flickr account.

You can go to mobile.starbucks.com and search by zip code or by city. If you search by city it’ll ask you a street name. Totally painless all in all.

Or find yourself on your google maps phone application and tell it to search for Starbucks.

If your phone handles texting you can text mysbux with your zip code

1) If you have a yahoo account you can set your my yahoo page to display local movie theater show times. Then just go to your yahoo page from your mobile browser.

2) Or go to wap.4info.net and type m 99999 ( m your_zip_code ) to get a list of local theaters and show times.

To have calls go directly to your blue tooth ear piece go to Preferences->Communication->Hands free->Auto Answer and choose one: immediate, 1 ring or 2 rings.

If going to memos re-sets your Treo or you keep getting “MemoMain.c Line:2511 bad record.”

Try this:

In Palm desktop go to ->HotSynch->Conduit Settings->Set memos to Desktop overwrites handheld.

You likely have a corrupted memo.

If your Treo refuses to go to the phone application try a soft reboot. If that doesn’t work try deleting your call log database. It may be corrupt.

Use Filez to delete PhoneCallDB. That should fix things up for you.

If your phone is rebooting when you try to open Verizon wirelesssync email try going to the file manager and deleting all the sync applications and re-installing them using the built in tools.
